2 The glory of God is to [a]conceal a thing secret: but the [b]King’s honor is to search out a thing.
3 The heavens in height, and the earth in deepness: and the [c]king’s heart can no man search out.
4 Take the [d]dross from the silver, and there shall proceed a vessel for the finer.

- Proverbs 25:2 God doth not reveal the cause of his judgments to man.
- Proverbs 25:2 Because the king ruleth by the revealed word of God, the cause of his doings must appear, and therefore he must use diligence in trying out of causes.
